It might be known that I am a fan Pennyblack stamps, I just love them.
My card uses the little Mice....

I have coloured them in with Pro-markers, matted them on green card, some really old back ground paper, i think it was the 1st lot I bought when I first started crafting! Lol. Some punched out leaves, flowers and buttons to finish it off. Oh, and the white bit of card has been embossed.
See you next week xx

Little Penny Blacks.......

Well it's Wednesday already , how quick the week goes! I thought i would like to show how small stamps can be used on a big card. So i stamped 3 of the cute penny black stamps and cut them out and layered onto orange card and coloured with Pro markers, which Beth has at Stamp n craft , Yeovil. I then made my own background paper with Tim Holtz distressed inks, i used the Peeled Paint and Dried Marigold which are also from Stamp n craft. I then stamped some flowers over the background in the peeled paint ink. I then stuck the images across the card. I cut out some flower pots and stuck them up the side of the card and stamped 2 flowers coming out of the top in Vintage photo distressed ink. I cut out the word Mum in green glitter card and stuck onto the pots. Final finished with my trade mark some orange pearls.
Have a lovely day and don't forget to pop back tomorrow. x

Under the sea

Hello,

This week  we have all used the same stamp from Sweet Pea stamps, now I know Sweet Pea Stamps are like marmite you either love them or hate them, but I love them and I think the DT have all done a fabulous job this week and I love that they are all so different.

I went for an underwater bubble theme and I used my slice to cut different sized circles and then used blue and green Adirondack inks with my favourite Dreamweaver brushes to colour the bubbles softly. I them just used a bit of copier paper as a mask to create the illusion of sun in the water.

For the Sweet Pea Koi stamp I stamped the image, using clear Versamark ink, onto a circle of glossy card and then brayered over with the green and blue Adirondack ink.

I used a seahorse mask cut from my slice and a seaweed stamp and then added the obligatory glitter (no card is complete without glitter ;0).

I hope you have enjoyed this weeks cards and tune in next week for Penny Black Stamps!!

Day 3 of Koi Sweet Pea Image

Hi from a wet and windy Somerset. Well day 3 and it's my turn Sandra. Well i was gutted when Beth gave us this image to play with as i always look at these and put them back on the shelf, however when i started colouring and playing i really enjoyed it.
Now you may notice mine is different, as i have coloured her whole body and not left the bit in the middle to show as her tummy, i thought it looks better like this, and to be honest i can see no real reason why it can't be done like this if you want to. It's your stamp and you can colour it as and how you like!
Anyhow i covered my whole image in Ranger Glossy Accents so it gives the image a shimmery under water look. I love the soft colours and fresh look. Thanks for looking. If you have time then please leave a comment so i can return the favour. Have a good day. xx

I Want To Ride My Bicycle

Hello,

so this week everyone used die cut toppers or decoupage sheets to make cards and they were all gorgeous designs!

I used a Kanban set with a cycling theme. I wanted a grungy effect to go with the mechanics of the bicycle and so I embossed a 6X6 card blank using the Cuttlebug cogs embossing folder. I then distressed the cog background using Tea Dye Distress ink, to highlight the cogs. I picked one of the cycling toppers from the kit and also distressed it using Tea Dye ink.

I then made a Happy Birthday banner using my new Artemio Click Click machine. This machine is fabulous fun to use and you can buy a variety of different coloured and patterned self adhesive tapes to use with it. The machine and a selection of tapes can be found at Stamp N Craft.

I hope you have enjoyed all the lovely samples this week and next week we will be using the amazing Sweet Pea Stamps.

Kanban, lotus Blossoms!

good morning bloggers, Angie here, i know its not my usual day, but Kay swapped with me, on tuesday! (thanks Kay!) but as i`m getting better, i don`t get to escape my DT duties! lol
As its Kanban week, i`ve used the lovely `Shaghai nights Lotus Blossom toppers` and made one card,
the card has as its base some cardstock from my stash, with an acetate overcoat, i`ve put the base of one topper onto the white card, then the centre, onto the acetate, lining up, so that it sits in the same place,
then have shaped the lotus flowers and put them underneath on the acetate, the ribbon, i`ve added from my stash, hope you like it,
there is enough left on the sheet to make another card!
why don`t you pop into Stamp`N`Craft, in yeovil, as beth has a lovely selection of Kanban topper sheets!
thanks for looking! xx

Time just flies by..

Hello it is Sophie here. I hope you have enjoyed the week of Kanban so far. Well today my Kanban set was there loving butterfly toppers, they were on a sheet of acetate which means they are sturdy and lovely to work with.

I had brought a blank clock from Stamp N Craft and covered it in a piece of paper from the North Country stack I brought from Stamp N Craft. Glued three butterflies and a border to the paper and perfect a simple but nice clock ready to be hung in my craft room. I am going to add some Stickles to the snowflakes in future as I ran out yesterday :(

Thank you for taking the time to read my post. Much Love Sophie

Lovely Roses

Hello ! Its Tanmo again!
This week I was given the Kanban toppers set - Tea rose Peach.
Now anybody who knows me will know that this is not my style, and I was bit bemused when I got this.
This is the card I made (wonky photo alert):

The pack comes with a sheet of toppers and a back ground sheet.
I used a kraft blank, and added a sheet of swiss dots embossed white, then a strip of the lovely back ground paper with lots of lovely little roses, and a bit of green ribbon, and then popped the topper on.
The only other thing I added my trusty diamond stickles.
Everything used on this card can be bought in stamp and craft.
Thanks for looking

Anyone for a cuppa?

Well this week is whizzing by and its my turn sandra to put up my project for this week, which was Kanban.
Well when i got this set (keep calm birthday topper) i was completely stumped for an idea! After much deliberation i came up with the idea to do a easel card and the rest followed very easily.

I made the easel card then covered the bottom and front in the union jack card which comes with the kit. I then used the put the kettle on topper the card looked very plain, so i got my thinking cap on and found a stamp i had of a cup and saucer, i stamped this 3 times on different coloured paper. I cut out the cup and saucer on one and just the cup on 2 and layered them up and stuck with foam pads to the side of the card. I then got my banner punch and punched out 3 banners from the rest of the union jack card and stuck them over lapping on the top corner and of course i added 3 pearls to finish and 3 gems to hold the card up. I was very pleased with how it turned out and felt it was in keeping with the very British year ie the diamond jubilee, Olympics etc we have had.Don't forget to pop into Stampncraft at yeovil and see the fab range of Kanban that Beth has.
Thanks for taking the time to look at our blog. Please leave a comment so we know you've been here. Sandra x

Kanban Toppers

This week we are focusing on Kanban Toppers.
My son and husband are both cricket mad so this set was ideal for me.
This set comes with 5 toppers and a A4 background sheet. I've made two cards so far with the set.

This card has used  one topper and some of the background card. This topper is a set of three so you could use them individually or like I have in a group. I made the cricket balls by using a circle punch and drawing some white lines on it.

I used one of the larger toppers on a 5 by 7 card. I added some raffia and used the background card too.

I hope you like this two cards.

Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree!!

Hello,

Well I really enjoyed this weeks theme. I made 5 different cards using my papers. They are all very simple but they were great fun to make which I think is the main thing!

Anyone who knows me knows that I love trees and I have lots and lots and lots of tree themed stamps and other craft supplies, so 3 of my cards have christmas trees on them!!!

For this 6X6 card I cut rectangles of paper and cut them into a triangle. I used a gorgeous red velvet rub on for the star and then then stamped a greeting in the corner.

For this 6X6 Card I embossed the card with the cuttlebug snowflake folder. I used scalloped squares, each smaller than the other and folded into triangles and stuck together to resemble trees. I then cut a greeting out using my lovely Slice machine.

For this 4X4 card I used folded squares to make a tree and then used some of the paper to make graduated banners.

For this 3X3 card I cut 1cm strips of paper and wove them together to make a background. I stamped the greeting and used Xmas Red Wow glitter embossing powder.

For this 4X4 card I used my wonderful Slice again to cut holly leaves  and a poinsettia in different sizes which I held together with a jewel brad.

I hope you have enjoyed this weeks creations, I know I have!! I love seeing what the DT come up with and all the creations they make are very inspiring.
Next week will be using Kanban toppers for our projects, so tune in and see what amazing creations the team come up with!!

Take Care Beth XXX

Wildflowers blue and a DT card or two

Ok,well i shall be honest and when i got my paper i was truly stumped as me and floral dont exactly go together....lol but after looking at it and thinking of different ways to use it,once i started i was on a roll even if it was a simple roll!!
This was my paper for my DT project at StampnCraft.
Paper is from The Paper Company USA range (Wildflowers blue)

and these are the two cards i made with my one sheet of paper.Main card i cut paper into squares, using a woodware punch, inked the edges with 'stormy sky' distress ink and glued to card blank. Added silver peeloff lines in between and then fancy cut the daisies and added to corner along with some glamour dust. For the notelet i cut the paper into banners, added some gems and stamped a greeting. Both quick cards but pleased with the end result. Papers, card blanks, gems and distress inks all available at the StampnCraft shop.

Home Is Where The Heart Is.

Hello everyone, I can not believe it is Friday again. Sorry that this one is posted a little late if anyone has been waiting for it as I been under the weather so struggled to get my craft brain in gear :(.

Well this week I had one sheet of 12x12 paper and had to make a project. I wanted to think outside of the box and do something different then a card and was looking on my shelf and saw my small collection of smash books. Perfect because I had loads of new photos from recent holidays and hadn't done anything with them.

I had a lovely paper called Western Hemisphere from The Vintage Workshop's travel scrapbook papers by Paper Adventures.

To make this all you will need is:
12x12 paper. The map was perfect for travel photos
Photos of holiday's
Acetate - I printed the sayings on and glued on top
Tim Holtz tickets
Washi Tape for bottom
Pearls

Thank you all for looking at my blog post. I look forward to seeing what you think.

Much Love Sophie x

DCVW xmas card

Hello Peeps! Its me Tanmo again :)
So this week as you might of already guessed, we have been given papers to use.
I had this jolly xmas paper from Die cuts with a view:

Rather than keep the paper as one sheet, I split it down in to elements. I cut the strip from the middle and used that, and also the square with the 25 on it. And then I cut atound the poinsetta and used that as an embellie:

Sorry about the awful pic, we are decorating here this week and all my furniture from downstairs has been wedged in upstairs and I couldnt get near my desk with the nice light!
Any who, other itens used were: Inkadinkadoo "fa la la la la mini". Coloured with PM's as usual, and a few gems and a blob of stickles.
See you all next week.

Love Love Love

Well it's Wednesday and my Sandra's turn to show you what i've made with my sheet of 12x12 paper. I had the Carolyn Holt paper Primavera Hearts Squared. I Made a simple card using black card and i cut out 4 of the hearts, i then got a black felt pen and put some faux stitching around each heart and each square. I then got my small alphabet stamp set and stamped be in on square, mine in another and love in the other 2 (twice). I then cut out some individual hearts and stuck them down the side of the card. I finished with pearls, and hearts. I then made 2 tags to match one large, one small. Finally i made a milk carton to fill with chocolate hearts. I hope this has given you some good ideas on how to use a 12x12 paper, they are not just for scrapbook's. Most of the items i have used can be bought at Stampncraft at Yeovil. Why not pop in and have a look. Please have a look at the other girls projects. Thanks Sandra

Tuesdays DT project!

Hi everyone, Angie here today, profiling 12x12 papers,
the paper i have use, is a lovely sky, with butterflies and bees, its from , The Paper Company! i have made 3 things out of the one sheet! (lol) the first is a 4x4 card, , with dark blue card matted then the paper on top,  i cut out a butterfly, glossy accented it, then sprinkled glamour dust on it, whilst still wet, outlined the card with tim holtz`s broken china distress ink, all of the above can be purchased at the lovely Beths shop, Stamp`N`Craft, in yeovil.
the ribbon, sticky tape, and sentiment, are from my own stash!
i have also, made an envelope out of the same piece of paper,

the last item, i made, was from a re-cycled brad packet, i used the cardboard in the back, as a template, and glued the paper, from the same 12x12 i used for my card & envelope, filled the bubble with sweeties, hand drew the rainbow, & added the sentiment, (sending you a rainbow!) the diecut strip, the tag and ribbon, are from my own stash,
why not pop in to Stamp`N`Craft to see the huge selection of 12x12 papers Beth has,
thanks for looking, why don`t you leave me a comment, so i can see you`ve been,

Papers

Here at Stamp N craft this week we are showing what you can do with 12 x 12 papers. We all have different papers and different techniques to show you.
I had a paper from the DCWV stack Royal Garden. This is a very rich stack and I thought that I could make some quick and easy gifts for under £5. All I've done is got a 12 x 12 canvas and stuck one of the pages to it  and voila I have a picture to hang on the wall.

The picture isn't the best because every time I used my flash I would have the flash on the picture.

I hope you might have a go at making your own frame. There are some papers that are too nice to cut up and would make a great gift.

Hugs

Love Love Love

Hello,

So this weeks challenge was House Mouse and all the DT members have done a fab job I have to say! I picked the mice from the Love Set, Snuggle Up as this image reminds me of my two lovely doggies who do the exact same pose with each other.

I used Tim Holtz, Victorian Velvet Distress Ink for the background card.
For the greeting panel I used versamark to stamp a line of greetings onto glossy card and brayered over it with the Victorian Velvet Distress Ink. I found that Distress Inks work well for brayering but it takes longer to dry. Then I overstamped one of the greetings with Stazon to highlight the words and give a shadow effect.
I also used a resist, brayered background for the Love backing.
I then stamped the mice in Rich Cocoa Memento, as it is softer than Tuxedo Black and coloured the image in with promarkers. As a last touch I used glossy accents in the hearts made by the mice tails to give a little highlight.

I hope you have enjoyed House Mouse week, next week is Papers!!

The leaves are falling

Well its Saturday so that must mean its my day to reveal my DT card for StampnCraft. Our challenge this week was to use a House Mouse image on our card and as they are so cute was no problem at all!
And for my card i challenged myself further to make a male card as really struggle with those!. For this card i stamped the image and coloured with promarkers and then diecut some clouds on to post its and used as a mask whilst i then applied tumbled glass distress ink for the sky. Layered up on paper and card from stash and added buttons, twine and a greeting. The stamp was from the Autumn Tumble set.

House Mouse - Berry.

Hello its Sophie again, I can not believe how quick the last week has gone. But luckily its Friday and time for the weekend to begin. Today I have made a simple but beautiful card using the Autumn - Berry set from House Mouse. I love the stamps available in House Mouse as you can just stamp the image, colour it in and that is all you really need on a card and it looks magical.

So here is my card I have done this week. I decided on a simple card that anyone can make from beginners to experienced crafters. I stamped the image onto white coated card and coloured in using alcohol pens. Cut a piece of scrap card to the size of the card and attached it all together. I added some pearls to two of the corners.

Thanks for stopping by and looking at my post. Please do not forget to check out Stamp N Crafts shop to see the collection of stamps, inks and everything a crafter needs to have.

Enjoy your weekend. Sophie x

meeece!!!

So, its Thurs so its me again!
Here is my House mouse card, the stamp I chose to use is from the set "Snuggle".

I have coloured my little mice in with PM's.
For the brown one I used: Ivory, pastel beige, sandstone, cinnamon and blush.
The one of the right I used all of the warm greys and Ivory on his face.
I used 1st edition papers "blank canvas", a bit of stickles on the flower (diamond), a few pearls, the white card has been embossed through my cuttlbug, and the papers have been scuffed around the edges.
Here is a close up of the flowers, looking all glitzy:

Hope you like my card (I do!) and see you again next week!
xx
