Layered and matted on to coloured card. Then using the Tim Holtz Autumn Gatherings die, i cut loads of leaves in the coloured card and just glued them randomly over the image. I then stamped Have a mice day  and mounted on to card with foam pads.

House Mouse

Today is the beginning of the House Mouse week.
The DT are all going to be using the House Mouse stamps in lots of different ways.
I chose to use the stamps called Love / Snuggle up.
I thought this image could be use for all different occasions.
I chose to make mine using a summer theme. Despite it getting colder I thought I'd brighten us all up.
Here is my card

You can find these stamps at Stamp N Craft in Yeovil, Somerset.
Don't forget to check back tomorrow to see Angie's creation.

Snowy Scene

So it is my turn to use the amazing Chocolate Baroque stamps in a project. There are so many gorgeous stamps to choose from it was very hard to decide, but as soon as I saw the house scene in the Hearth and Home set an idea popped into my head.

I have been playing around with tiles a lot recently (we had a decorating tiles workshop) and so I wanted to do a snowy scene with the house.

The tile I used was glossy so it was very difficult to photograph, but hopefully you can see the snowstorm effect surrounding the house scene.

I hope you have enjoyed our first week with the DT and I want to say a big thank you to all of the ladies for the great work they have produced! Keep checking for more amazing projects from the team next week we will be concentrating on House Mouse!

Classic Snowy Christmas House

Hello everyone it is Sophie here, Well it is time for my weekly blog post and today I have made my card in a nice Christmas theme again as with less then two months to go I feel it makes everyone in the mood. For my card today I cut a piece of North Country collection paper to fit on a blank card. I stamped my Chocolate Baroque stamp of the house (unsure of the name sorry) onto card and coloured in using my alcohol pens and also applied stickles diamond and crystal to create a snow effect. Once the stickles had dried I applied Frayed Burlap distress ink around the image and stuck the image onto the card with foam pads.

Thank you for looking at my post.
Much Love Sophie x

2 little birdies....

Morning! Well, its Thursday so that means it my turn today. And if you are wondering who I am, its me Tanmo :)
The stamp set I chose to use from Chocolate Baroque is "Live out Loud"

I stamped the birds in black ink, and then coloured with distress inks. I used tumbled glass, broken china and faded jeans. I stamped the word Cherish in the tumbled glass, and added every moment over the top of it in black.
Hopefully you can see in this next pic a bit more of the detail:

I added diamond stickles to the birds wings, and embossed the moon (or sun depending on your colour scheme) with a shimmer embossing powder.
I then mat and layered the image on to a couple of different card stocks and added it to the base card.
All of the supplies apart from the word stamps are available from Beth at Stamp N Craft.
Thanks for looking

Chocolate Baroque Day 3!!

Well it's Wednesday today, so my day to showcase my cards made from some Chocolate Baroque stamps. I have actually used elements from 3 of the gorgeous Chocolate Baroque sets they are the Fly away with me set, the Sing your song set and the Home sweet home set (which is my own). I have tried to show the versatility of the stamps by making a home card and a Christmas card. My cards are very simple and easy to make. I stamped the little bird house straight onto my white card then stamped another onto a small piece of plain white card and coloured with THoltz distressed inks (Dried Marigold, Peeled Paint and Aged Mahogany) I then stamped the little bird onto white card and coloured with Broken China I cut this and the house out. I then cut a long piece of black card and stuck down the side of the card. I stamped the Home sweet home onto white card coloured with the inks and cut into individual words. i then stuck these on the black strip. I wanted the bird house to be hanging so used the tail of the bird as a sort or hanging flourish. Then i layered the house and bird onto the card with foam pads. Plus a pearl for the eye!! The card looked to blank to me so i used the bird on branch and just stamped the branch around the edge. I found some string i had and wrapped some on the middle of the card and tied and made a cute little bow for the house.
The second card was simple stamped the bird onto white card inked the background layered onto black card stuck onto the white card. Stamped saying, glittered branch, punched out scalloped circle and circle and put stickles onto a wooden snowflake and added pearl. Simple. Sandra x

Most of the items i used can be got from the lovely Beth at Stampncraft in Yeovil.

Chocolate Baroque - Damask Reindeer

Well what did you think of our first assignment yesterday? I think we all did a fabulous job. All different takes on one stamp set. A job well done.
This week we will be using lots of different sets from the Chocolate Baroque range. I chose to work with the Damask Reindeer set. This set comprises of 12 / 13 stamps One stamp you could separate into two sentiments. You have three gorgeous Reindeer of different sizes and different patterns on their bodies. There's 5/ 6 sentiments, two snowflakes in two sizes, a star and a scene with trees, moon, reindeer and snowflakes on it.
This is a gorgeous stamp set and I'm about to show you what I made. I've made three cards. They are all on the Clean and Simple trend.

This card is a 6 x 6 square card. I stamped and embossed the deer twice. One piece of card I cut to 5 1/2 inches x 5 1/2 inches.I cut out the deer and  I embossed the snowflakes all over it. The second image I stuck straight down onto the card. The tricky part is putting it together. I used foam squares to make the card with the image cut out standout from the image. Lining it up is the tricky part, if it's not lined up properly the image doesn't stand out and doesn't sit the cut out. I've put some gems on the deer to finish it off.

This is quite a quick card. It uses the 4 inches x 4 inches cards. I stamped directly onto the card and emboss it in gold. This is very quick and if you have a lot of cards to make this is quite versatile to use.

This one again uses the 4 x 4 inch card. I've stamped and embossed the snowflakes all over it. Another clean and simple card.

All crafty bits used can be purchased at Stamp N Craft.

Well I hope my cards inspire you to have a play. Tomorrow is the turn of Angie of Angie's Inky Finger's
Can't wait to see what Angie makes. Angie is using a different Stamp set by Chocolate Baroque

Stamp N Craft DT

Today I have some very exciting news!! Stamp N Craft now has a Design Team.

There will be 6 lovely ladies helping me showcase some of the amazing products we have available here at Stamp N Craft. We will be challenging each other and pushing our comfort zones to help inspire you.

To kick off this exciting new venture, we will be using my favourite brand of stamps from the amazing Glenda Waterworth at Chocolate Baroque.

The stamp set I have chosen is a stunning Christmas set called Harlequin Christmas and is available at Stamp N Craft. Each of the ladies will introduce themselves and post a project made from the Harlequin Christmas stamp set.

Then each week there will be a theme and each DT member will post a project relating to that theme on a set day.

Mon  = Kelly
Tue = Angie
Wed = Sandra
Thur = Tanja
Fri = Sophie
Sat = Kay
Sun = ME!! (Beth)

Our first week's theme will showcase more beautiful Chocolate Baroque Stamps so why not pop in and check out the amazing selection of these fabulous stamps! The quality of these stamps is second to none and the designs are absolutely stunning.

Harlequin Christmas

So to start things off I have made a really quick and simple Christmas card to highlight just how beautiful this set is.

I stamped the bauble first onto a cute 4X4 white card blank, in Brilliance Galaxy Gold ink. I then made a mask of the bauble from a post it note and stuck it over the top of the stamped image.  I then inked the large diamond background with Distress Ink in Barn Door and stamped over the masked image so that the whole of the 4X4 card was covered. I removed the mask and voila the background is behind the bauble. I didn't add a greeting as I like the simple and clean look, however you could easily add a greeting or further embellishments to suit your taste.

Hello I am Sophie, I started crafting when I was younger then stopped as school became more important. I then met the fellow design team members through Sandra's son last April and then that is what made me start crafting again. I am currently the youngest in our craft group at only nineteen which I enjoy as everyone else is so nice and caring so I am never left out. I am currently a care assistant and love to relax and unwind in my craft room on my time off. I enjoy a wide variety of different crafts but my favourites to make and design have to be altered art or cards. I am hoping that bringing my youthfulness to this design team will inspire other young adults and children to start crafting and share my joy at creating something wonderful.

Here is my card I made out of the fabulous Harlequin Christmas set.

I used VersaMark to stamp the two images onto white card, I then heat embossed them with Red and Gold embossing powder. Once then had cooled I distressed the background stamped image with frayed burlap distress ink and I also distressed a rectangle piece of white card slightly bigger then the main stamped image and layered them together on a blank white card. On the building of the main stamped image I have filled it with Stickles (Crystal) and coloured two snowflakes and a reindeer from a selection of wooden Christmas images. Everything used on my card was brought from Stamp N Craft.

Thank you for having the time to read my section and I look forward to hearing from you all.
Much Love Sophie x

Thanks for having me Beth,x
Hi I'm Sandra and i'm the well behaved one of the group. I started crafting about 5 years ago. I was home poorly and happened to come across Create and Craft on the TV and had never seen any cardmaking before, I thought i can do that and bought a kit. I've never looked back. I have met some amazing friends through crafting, most of them on this design team. Poor Beth if only she knew what she'd let herself in for! I love all kinds of crafting but especially altered art and Tim Holtz is my hero. I change from inky cards to simple cards and am known for adding pearls to every card even male ones! This is my card
As you can see this time i've opted for a very simple look, this is the kind of card i'd make if i had to make a lot of christmas cards. I've used one of the baubles from the set and stamped it straight onto the white card using Tim Holtz distressed ink Broken China, i've then masked the bauble and stamped another next to it in Tim Holtz Barn Door and one the other side in Tim Holtz Peeled paint. I then added a row of different colour pearls to each bauble and a bow. Finally i used a Happy Christmas stamp, i managed to ink it with the same 3 colours to complete the card. All products can used from Stamp N Craft.(except the happy christmas which is from my stash). Look forward to chatting again.You can find me Here

Hi, my name is Angie, i love crafting, i started about 5 years ago, mainly because i had recently given up smoking, and needed something to do, with my hands! I started with Decoupage, and then discovered stamping! the rest is history, lol and my downfall, probably why, I`ve never got any money too! I also, love getting inky, hence my blog name! also love playing with Micas, and Stains, anything messy really,
So, now onto Stamp`n`Craft, thank you to Beth, for inviting all of us, to be her first Design Team, there will be many more, I am sure! so, here are my cards, they are from the same stamp set, as the others, (but I`ve lost my bit of paper with it writen on!) lol
Recipe:- white card stock, stamps inked with TH`s Distress Ink Broken China, matted onto silver mirror card, blue glitter card, again, matted onto mirror card. the baubles are outlined with Wow blue gltter embossing powder the blue ribbon, and peeloff sentiment are from my stash

Smaller card Recipe:-
 white card stock, silver mirror card, stamped with momento ink, coloured with pro-markers, then covered with acetate, which has been glittered with clear glamour dust glitter, (can`t really see it, in the picture!)
Holly Brads and ribbon are from my own stash!
everything I`ve used can be bought at Stamp`N`Craft! where the lovely beth will be only too happy to help you!

Hello peeps! My name is Tanmo, im nearly 27 and have been crafting for about 8 years. I started off when my friend was doing some quilling, and I had a go. I made some little robins and christmas trees and stuck them on to a plain white card. Very Clean and Simple, although I didnt know that term then! I bought a card making magazine and that was that.
When Im not crafting I work as an administrator type person in a call centre, and sometimes even spend time with my long suffering boyfriend!
Anyway, enough about me, here is my card:

Sorry about the naff picture, the light is terrible here today.
I stamped the card in black memento ink, coloured with distress ink, highlighted with white embossing powder, and stickles. You cant really see but the leaves on the tree in the top right are picked out in stickles. All of the supplies listed are available from stamp N craft.
Hope you like my 1st DT card, Im looking forward to sharing more with you, I know I will enjoy being on this DT as its a fab lunch of girlies, and we all meet up in real life, and spend time chatting, a bit of crafting and lots of eating!

Hi all,
I'm Kelly, I'm the last one to join this group of lovely ladies. I started card making when I made my wedding invitations 11 years ago. My obsession for all things craft has grown from there. I spend a lot of my spare time crafting and love creating all sorts of things which I'll be sharing with you on here. For my card I had a go at the clean and simply look. It's the first time I've tried this and it's turned out quite well.

I used the baubles from the Harlequin set stamped in gold ink. I stamped the snowflake background using wow powder white and the snowflakes are from the set I'll be sharing with you tomorrow for my first post. So it's a bit of a sneak peek as well. You can find all the bits I used to make my card at Stamp N craft. Don't forget to check back here tomorrow when I'll be starting of the week with some Chocolate Baroque Christmas stamps x

I hope you enjoy this post and all the beautiful cards made by a talented group of ladies and keep an eye out for more!!

Take Care for now, Beth XXX

Inspector Gadget

I know, I know a very unusual post for a craft blog, but at the weekend I had a chap come in to Stamp N Craft and ask if I could help him make a propellor for his hat. I must have looked completely bemused as he then explained that he was going to a fancy dress party as inspector gadget and wanted to attach a propellor to the hat.

My first thought was, no I can't help, but then inspiration hit me and I rushed off and grabbed some silver mirri, drew round a paper bin cut it into quarters and stuck it to a base. I then cut a cog shape out of mirri using my Making Memories Slice machine and stuck it in the middle. I found a bolt and some nuts lying around and made a hole so that it could be inserted into the hat and would be able to spin round.

I have to say that it was the most fun I have had for ages and I would love to have seen the chap all dressed up, it just goes to show you the weird and wonderful things crafters get up to!!

Crochet Flower

Today I thought I would share a crochet flower I have made from a lovely Aran weight yarn from James Brett called Monsoon, which we sell at Stamp N Craft. It is lightly spun and I wasn't sure if it would crochet easily but it was really lovely to use and worked up very quickly.

Monsoon comes in some really lovely shade and the one I used here was S4 and is variegated shades of  blue, purple, green and brown.

This flower was a little bit bigger than I expected but it would look great as a brooch or pinned to a handbag or even as an addition to a knitted hat.

Hope you like my flower! Take Care Beth XX
